Fact: Everything I Once Knew
In this digital mediated age, we live our existences under intense accumulation of riddles and encoded information. The question arises, are we losing contact with our actual timed experience? How do our senses respond and how do we come to understand identity in the face of this experience? The exhibition brings together different approaches to exploring the contemporary play on imagery with the theme of encapsulated codes and readability.
The artworks bring an ambivalence to the exhibition operating against the continuous cycle of unknown imagery in contemporary culture. These images do not reject their input but hope to establish a point of which to observe this commentary on imagery, rather than exclude.
‘Fact: Everything I Once Knew’ brings together 6 second and third year BA Fine Art students at University for Creative Arts, exploring visual ideas around observation, identity , process, memory, senses, entropy and time.
